It 's been a year and a half from our amazing trip to Australia and for most of the time we wanted to repeat a similar experience. So when Roberto came out with a new idea, we immediately declared ready. The only disappointment has been in planning for non-participation of Sara and Gimmy, but they had more important things to do (welcome Elia!).
Also this time I was equipped with a Moleskine to take notes of that trip report here and, this time, I played before starting to read guides and documents months earlier. However, since the timing of the trip and also the busiest local holiday the original program has been changed during construction.
Also this time the journey is divided into a part played together and followed only by me, and tiger Roby.
As always in the beginning we show maps of travel tours to understand the facts and references.
The first part started going from Montreal to Quebec City, then along the St. Lawrence we went to the Ile d'Orleans to get in the zone of Sagueny where we saw whales. The route was about this:
Visualizzazione ingrandita della mappa
Then we went on the other side of the St. Lawrence in New Brunsiwck and because we avoided the Gaspesie and we are gone directly to Prince Edward Island and then to Cape Breton, at the ending the common trip we are arrived to Halifax. The route of this second part you see here:
Visualizzazione ingrandita della mappa
After separating from our friends we went to Newfoundland, where we are wandered around a bit according to this route:
Visualizzazione ingrandita della mappa
From here we flew to Toronto and after a short visit we went to Niagara Falls according to this simple route:
Visualizzazione ingrandita della mappa
After the visit we returned to Montreal, passing through the area of a thousand islands according to this path
Visualizzazione ingrandita della mappa
at the end the day of departure we went to the Parc Omega with this tour:
Visualizzazione ingrandita della mappa
Throughout 6115 Km by car two flights in 25 days.
As always you can find below the details of the trip. This time because there were so many pictures and music was an important soundtrack on the trip I made a short slideshow that I show you day by day or that you can find all right here on my user Youtube
Author's Note - To avoid recriminations with friends the trip participants were called by the names burlesque created by the animator of the trip at some point in the tour ;-)
DAY 1 - VENEZIA-MONTREAL 08/08/2009
|
We have taken the first jump to Amsterdam with success, including Franz who was quite concerned at first intercontinental experience. After a short time we leap for another longer but very quiet. The good french of Maicol give us the tranquility to arrive under the Travellodge, our first hotel booked from Italy. |
I do not understand why, but it seems the first hotel isn't never so lucky ... Bed "sufisant" such as cleaning, but perhaps it is to be judged as a good introduction to the new style of adaptability.
We allow ourselves a quick refreshment and we throw in the old Montréal pleasant and full of life. We enjoy a nice dinner at "Gargote" and, as I expected, wherever there is a good reception, especially if you speak French ;-)
DAY 2 - MONTREAL 09/08/2009
Starting with spartan breakfast cheered by the problems Maicol night, this is now a standard in our travels! We dive straight into the city, after a short stop at Starbucks. To see Montreal from a better angle, we follow the advice of the guide and take the ferry to the Parco Jean Drapeau, it's a very good idea and we enjoy beautiful views from the upper deck of the ferry. At the park we have the first meetings with the local wildlife! Maybe a prairie dog, I have yet to check, and then a blackbird American. After a brief tour we take the subway and we go to the Olympic Park, built for the Games of 1976, where first we see the Biodôme to get some idea that wildlife will find in Canada and then we go the Olympic Tower for a different look from above. |
|
![]() Christ Church Cathedral |
In the afternoon we take the metro to go and see the "underground", unfortunately everything is closed, although it must be said is equally spectacular! Despite the extreme fatigue we decide to take two more steps and we end up at Rue Sainte Catherine which revived us with his life and his windows. In the evening we return to this area for dinner at 3 Brasseur where we find a nice setting but the food is less exciting. |
If you want to see the movie with picture and music of Montréal please click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZpE4N4lI_c
DAY 3 - MONTREAL-QUEBEC CITY 10/08/2008
Let's go get the car, we have to wait a bit so we take the opportunity to do a mini tour at the mall "La Baie", with the history of the company that started this chain you could make a movie! |
Palais des congrès |
Chez Cocotte |
We start at 11.00 and we are immediately blocked in the highway, but we are finally on the road!! After a short stretch of the Autorute 40 we take the "Chemin du Roi" to see a bit of true Canada's. The landscapes are beautiful, the variety of homes is amazing and the San Lorenzo appears and disappears down the road. I leave guide to Franz to see a little more landscapes. |
We arrive in Quebec City to 17.00 and from the first impressions we like to drive much more here than in Montreal. We find place in a Best Western with some problem and we go to eat very well at "aux Ancien Canadiens", thanks to the inspiration of the guides.
DAY 4 - QUEBEC CITY 11/08/2009
Slow start today, with lots of stops for shoping :-(. Then visit from outside the Chateau Frontenac, Terrasse Dufferin and down step for the "escalier casse cou" (broken necks;-). |
![]() Escalier Casse-Cou |
Château Frontenac |
In the afternoon we have a break to wash clothes and the freedom of spending for those who want (The crocks are Canadians, even though they make it in China now;-). We tigers do not find anything that we enjoy, or maybe we just Scots, as he always said the professor of my English accent. In the evening we decided to try the restaurants near the hotel where we eat a sushi spectacular, but the portion are so big that It's very hard to finish also with the Maicol aid. Lady P. is forced to leave us for eat a little fromage. |
Here you can see the Quebec City movie:

DAY 5 - QUEBEC CITY - BAIE SAINTE CATHERINE 12/08/2009
We make a great breakfast in Quebec city in a fantastic roasting and then we left! We pass through the beautiful Ile d'Orleans where we can not resist to do: all the circumnavigation, a brief stop to buy strawberries and raspberries and to admire the bucolic Ile d'Orleans from above. From the bridge connecting the island we look at the Montmorency Falls, which are impressive but they had a "strange" brown color , so we decide to proceed along the San Lorenzo until Malbaie to where we booked the night. By the Avenue Royal we come across a "architectural masterpiece", as defined by the good Maicol, it is the Sanctuaire Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. A good stop for 5 minutes until you realize that everything is brand new. |
Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré |
Here we leave the luggage after we resolve a small misunderstanding (our reservation wasn't!) and let's go see how far away is the embarkation of the Zodiacs.
|
Just some km ahead of the embark of the Zodiacs we do our first sighting. Maicol yells "whale!", and surprisingly he didn't refer, as usual, to one of our friends, so we stopped on a scenic path, that we later discover to must be paied, but at this the time is free, or maybe unattended, and going down we have the opportunity to see the white beluga of the Saguenay. |
This is one of the emotions that I'll not forget of this travel. After a long observation, and the interval of a cute squirrel that we failed to photograph, we head toward the hotel. On the way back we stop at a nice restaurant where we eat and Tilapia Moruoe.
Again a short video on YouTube:

DAY 6 - BAIE SAINTE CATHERINE- SAINT SIMEON 13/08/2009
![]() Zodiac |
The day of zodiacs! This was one of the few shared points of the holiday and definitely one of the most unforgettable. Fortunately, providence, or perhaps only on our good captain Julie enable us to see the humpback whales with their tailing, making us understand why they call them here "humpback". The ride was exciting and also quite long, the only sore point is waiting an hour for buy a group photo taken before boarding the zodiac.
|
Collect the pictures and then we head to Baie Comeau in a hurry by a free ferry to Tadoussac, and isn't that we did the "Portuguese", the ferry is free even if it seems strange for an Italian, there are numerous ferry free in Canada. We stopped for lunch, looking the people that are passing up and down with the mustang or with the electric wheelchair :-O
|
Coda di megattera (Humpback) |
|
We continue with relative calm until Forestville ferry where we want to do but find out they are very tiny and all booked for 2 days! The sailorman recommend us to go back to Saint Simeon for the big ferry. How sad it was before Baie Sanite Catherine ... But it was usually in our adventure travels, so we put Franz at the wheel , so go back at full speed
|
Obviously the last ferry us part under the nose, so we try desperately to a motel, but it's everything busy! After 5 or more attempts we end up in a house that we subsequently renamed Phsyco for panic attacks that causes to Jessica. All in all not bad either because of the view, too bad I could not close the bathroom door if I was sitting on the toilet :-O.
To make Maicol happy we decided to go to the Casino. He promises our a fantastic dinner but is forced to offer dinner at the bar with sandwiches because the restaurant was closed at 21.30.
If you want see thi fanatstic place look there:

DAY 7 - SAINT SIMEON - FRIEDERICTON 14/08/2009
Rise early, or nearly so, to get in line for the ferry to New Brunswick. Straight off we head to see the famous Kamouraska roofs. The small, quiet town and the bakery are really nice. After our short visit then we head south along the 289 to Fredericton and after seeing some beautiful scenery I leave the guide at Franz to accelerate. |

DAY 8 - FREDERICTON - MONCTON 15/08/2009
![]() Parc Fundy lake |
Little tour around the market of Fredericton, who like most of the markets is a place that absolutely must be seen to understand uses, culture and customs.
After a small diversion we marched in the direction of Saint John, but if you're not careful how you write it you may end up in Newfoundland ;-), and maybe it's better ... For here we see the "reversing falls", but behind them we see a huge factory :-( a bit disappointed we head towards the Bay of Foundy.
Inside the Park Foundy we finally found the feeling and the scenary that every Italian think at Canada. The park is lovely for the scenic views even if we not see a lot of animals, but get's also the thrill of doing some dirt road. Finished our strolls we stopped in Alma, just outside the park for a snack. It's the first place where we see the giant lobster, and a cleanser that making the wood table like soaked in honey :-)
Off once more for Mary's Point. Another vivid image that I will remember of Canada, is a place worth seeing! (if you like nature) On the windswept shore we see a cloud of miles and thousands of sandpipers dancing over surface of the water They changing color depending on the trajectory. I would wish have the time to remain here a whole day to observe, but we are in a group and as always time is running out. So we go to Moncton where we stop for the night. In an attempt to eat lobster we end up in another pub, where, however, we listen to good music.
Sandpipers at the Mary's Point |
For the whole area of New Brunswick we put a single movie that you find here:

DAY 9 - MONCTON-PICTOU 16/08/2009
Confederation Bridge |
|
Then we head to Prince Edward Island, stopping for the usual photos to the Confederation Bridge. We point directly to the North Rustico to eat an excellent lobster at the World Famous Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant. I must say that I never ever eat such a good (and so cheap) lobster, so good that from now on will Candy seek not other for the days to come. |
![]() Lobster at WFFWR |
![]() Wood Island - PEI |
In the afternoon we turn to the park and then we can quickly see from outside the home of Anne of Green Gables, but both are not anything special, and then decide to leave the island via the ferry to Pictou, also to change the ride . Here we arrive at 20.30, after attending a real concert tribal Indians on the ferry. |
We find a place to sleep in a nice English-style hotel and after we fixed quickly run to the dinner because the kitchen closes at 22.00 and a large part of the pub.
On YouTube found the video of Price Edward Island:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_SoBw3YvC8 and to follow a short movie on Pictou: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnXycIqwNlk
DAY 10 - PICTOU-CHETICAMP 17/08/2009
After a simple breakfast, where Lady P. gives us a thrill when burning a slice of toast and triggering the smoke alarm, we drive to Cape Breton after two charges. We continue with a smooth ride with lunch stop at Manitou, a place not recommended unless you are at a -4 Innuits insensitive to air conditioning and sympathy equal to that of Freddy Kruger.
We get to where we Chetichap nell'Acadian Motel accommodation, simple, convenient and comfortable, and where to book for another Zodiac ride to Pleasant Bay.
Place your bags quickly enter the park to see where to start. The landscapes are breathtaking, making us appreciate the fact that he avoided the Gaspésie and have focused here.
In this paradise phones do not work, leaving a few days of complete calm. During the tour sharpened eyes hoping to see some animals, but no leg. Pleasant Bay we arrived at the usual photos and I can even to capture a fish eagle! |
Fish eagle (bald eagle) |
|
|
In the evening we have dinner at the Lighthouse where we eat very well, even those who lobster and crab. Evening stroll on the pedestrian wooden sea.
DAY 11 - CHETICAMP 18/08/2009
We decided for another round in the zodiac. After a good breakfast but troubled by the lack of time we get a minute of time for the trip, but Jessica is not!
Good for her because there is a sea where the slope that was greatly moved ton of water. Strong emotions with an almost complete bathroom Maicol. The trip is not fruitless, as we saw a school of Pilot Whale! On the way we also see some dolphins and seals. Coming back we see a pair of fish eagles. But we are struck by the fact that a participant in an inflatable boat with us has the leg in plaster, but a self control everything English. |
![]() Zodiac in Pleasant Bay |
![]() Skyline trail |
Since we are soaked to the underwear we choose to go there to change in the motel, so we shop the market and then we ridiviadiamo why we decided to go for the "skyline" a path that leads to the top of the mountain (only 455mt - ), but they say frequented by many animals and very spectacular. In fact, we see two female moose and a woodpecker. |
We lunch on the trail with two sandwiches. Incredibly hot weather and the trip takes about 4 hours. Come back in the car we have the extraordinary good fortune to see two bear cubs, after 5 hours before a park guard assured us that there were no bears. The cubs climbed up a tree. One sleeps and the other is active. Many people stop, some cyclist believes wiser to go back given the bears, and all when we start to see mama bear that moves beneath decide which is more healthy return by car. The evening dinner in the nice new restaurant in the shape of the lighthouse.
The great area of Cape Breton can be found immortalized in this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccjHHbnQnlI
DAY 12 - CHETICAMP - ST. PETER'S 19/08/2009
The mass of dirty clothes we impose a forced stop at the Laundromat followed by a buffet breakfast before continuing his journey. Thus falls within the park where we stopped to calmly periplo.Ci Neils Harbou to look at the lighthouse, and given the heat we decided to take a bath in Broken Cove.
![]() Broken Cove |
A fantastic place with a waterfall to one side, the water is very cold but beautiful clear. After 3 minutes in the water tell us not to stray too far because there are sharks off and not get too close to the rocky coast because there are the lobsters and the rangers do not want to disturb you, I see big toes cut off. However, we do not see either of them, but instead see an eagle flying above us while we do the bathroom, just amazing! |
Bras D'or Ferry |
Picnic Lunch in a lake nearby. "But you had put the sausages in the fridge? Is a few hours ..." Then leave again after a mini-ferry (which slips over a chain to a strong current) and arrive in Sydney attracted by the name where we make a quick visit to the old mines. Then proceed very slowly due to roadworks.
And here a little digression to illustrate how the arrangements are incredibly diverse. First of all, instead of our traffic lights to regulate the flow of alternating machines here is a person who holds the stop sign (and when you finish working with the laying on the ground). The other pins are about 2 meters. Do not you directly but halfway across and the cars are driven on the dirt road by a car service in the midst of mammoth trucks and bulldozers continue to work. This is pretty awesome :-) |
![]() Strange stop |
We continue to St. Peter's where we stop at the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn, nice hotel where we eat well and there is also animation, though there was little choice given that we have covered at least 40 km without finding anything.
DAY 13 - ST. PETER'S - HALIFAX 20/08/2009
![]() Halifax Citadel |
Are placed on a Marriot overlooking the sea. We have time for lunch in a beautiful place, chock full of young waiters / and, as a walk around the Citadel fortinino a former English with lots of extras in masks running around the place. After the view we go for a nice ride on the amphibious Harbour Hopper shows us that both the city center and the view from the sea. Finally we arrived in a town a bit 'more youthful and animated ... |
We have dinner in the same place for lunch and then stop at the casino for the joy and the pockets of a few friends. |
tribute to Caboto |
We were recently in Halifax, but a movie came out too:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2vAfeJfTC0
DAY 14 – HALIFAX-ST. JOHN'S 21/08/2009
The day starts with a surprise layer of an account under the door: $ 22,000 CAN. Obviously they were wrong in the hotel and after having explained that the machine does not even have the most and therefore it is difficult to pay such an account of parking begin preparations for the continuation of the journey and then the separation from friends at the airport. A bit 'sad, but our journey continues!
Fisherman house St. John's |
The new goal is to Newfoundland or Newfoundland as Cabot said. After a flight a bit 'dancer and cheaper, but with a very good pilot, we arrive at the small airport in St. John's where we go now at the information that we book the accommodation facilities at the Quality Hotel. A simple place, near a mess (no accent ;-), but cheap and clean. |
Deposited the baggage we take a small lunch exploring the city. Towards late afternoon we take a beautiful walk up Signal Hill, where in 1901 Marconi received the first intercontinental communications. The walk gave us a way to enjoy breathtaking views at sunset over the bay of St. John's, definitely worth trying. In the evening we have dinner in an Irish pub, where, however, the tiger can eat once again a great lobster, and even if the evening seems to handling goods because we go to bed tired. |
![]() Signal Hill |
DAY 15 – ST JOHN'S 22/08/2009
We wake up in bad weather, too bad there is so far gone well. We have breakfast at the hotel and begin the search for the rental car, but it is very hard and we are forced to take a cab back to the airport to go to rent a car, it strikes me that the taxi ride cost us less than $ 10 CAN the outward journey ...
We rent a compact of the Dollar and we move quickly to Witless Bay where we saw that they make a tour for the whales and puffins, and I yearn to see the tiger.
Puffin |
Are placed on a tour of Gatherall's running from Bull Bay at 12:15, everything seems perfect, and even came out the sun! We climb on the catamaran and we head to the Gull Island, where, led by a captain and the daughter of Scottish origin with a song typically sung by his daughter, we see lots of puffins, puffin or as they say here, that move frenetic island the sea. |
The latter is so excited that we can not take decent pictures, even after a while 'pass me the tiger cubs all playback devices because gaurdare inside makes him seasick. Going Green Island where we see the captain hoped to make us see humpback whales, but once again affects the rough sea trip. However, little bad because we can see the boobies! All in all, this experience also a must-try, including waves, then the puffins are a sight to behold.
Then we take the road, do a little 'spending and we head to Trepassey where we read that there are caribou, but after a day trip and absolutely fallen in the fog can not see anything! Then we end up around the Irish Loop Drive encountering a moose just before returning to St. John's.
The evening dinner at The Keg place a little 'chic but pretty good food.
DAY 16 – ST. JOHN'S 23/08/2009
The predictions are for bad weather, but we woke up one day just a little 'gray. We decided to go to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve. The road to get a bit 'long, especially in the fog, but the scenery is beautiful and the colony of gannets is incredible. |
|
Absolutely must be seen, perhaps with the sun, but even with the fog, with the sheep and rams so large that they exchange them for cows and green photographer, creates a certain impression to feel ribs and hundreds of gannets well before you get to see the rock nesting and then see them darting through the mist.
Continue to return to the Cape Shore and once reinstated in '90 we stop at Salmonier Park. A very interesting park with walkways for those not tamp the soil and follow a definite path in the middle of the fence where retrieve the animals who have suffered injury or trauma. A great chance to see some examples of local fauna.
For dinner we went back into the pub on the first night eating fish at a good price.
I think we'll struggle to forget Newfoundland but the movie shows some of what we saw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz60beFYDfQ
DAY 17 – ST. JOHN'S-TORONTO 24/08/2009
I would call the night of the wasp, it is because I had a close encounter at night. A wasp has stung me 2 times and died on the spot the second time. In the morning they also find another on the wall! This makes me appreciate much less the hotel, but I think it's not their fault and caught by a spirit of selfless I think it is right to warn. So definitely change your mind about the place, once alerted to my macaroni English find that they knew already and can not do anything about it :-( So be careful! Enter the air conditioner being turned off. The only defense is the cold with which become completely "rincitrullite.
|
We continue going to buy some souvenirs and then at the airport. Also this time the trip is a bit 'wobbly, but there will always be the wind at the airport in St. John's? And once again proves the pilot, at the start, really good despite the wind. |
Once in Toronto we find Bond Palace Hotel accommodation in simple but clean. Let's take a walk around the shopping area of Melbourne that reminds us so we decide to go see the Italian neighborhood and stopping to eat something (a nice hike). The inn in Italian by Giovanna welcome us and even eat a decent pizza. Then again walk to the hotel.
DAY 18 - TORONTO 25/08/2009
Beautiful Day! Especially when you discover you escaped to a hurricane that struck Newfoundland!
We went to book the car but they told us to do so on the phone, and then saw the great English all three went into a Starbucks and we have done over the internet ;-) Fake breakfast we headed to see the CN Tower the city's skyline and, although not reaching the levels of the tower in Sydney, it certainly tried. After disembarking from the tower we went for a walk on the Harbour and then on foot (much like the marathon) we went to St. Lawrence Market Place where we ate something for lunch. |
![]() CN Tower |
![]() Flight stop - Downtown |
This is a fantastic market to buy something to munch on while you are immersed in local culture. The variety of food is impressive and multi-ethnic. After this break we went to Union Station where we went underground to explore the Down Town, a city beneath the city, truly impressive for the size where it is easy to get lost. If you go to Toronto you should definitely go see it. In fact, we always come underground to the square of the hotel. |

We just returned facts indicate a laundromat and went to wash everything. While we waited we went to buy a new bag and saw a stunning black squirrel who was not afraid of anything.
We conclude the day with a dinner at the Houston Steak & Ribs quite satisfactory, though not exactly cheap.
Also here on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tio2IywMmQY
DAY 19- TORONTO-NIAGARA 26/08/2009
We wake up with the rain and look for a place to have breakfast in the Eton Center, losing a bit 'to the "PATH". After breakfast we climb to the hotel for check out and then go out and take the car to Hertz. Depart for Niagara Falls. The highway is impressive: seven lanes in each direction with heavy traffic!
We come up to Niagara on the Lake where we book for the night. Upon release, an outlet in the luggage we found the cubs where we all give to the unbridled consumerism seen prices (the cost of a pair of pants brand in Italy I've bought three pairs and all three brand)
|
We decide to go on a patrol around Niagara Falls. The show is impressive despite the havoc and the machine building tourist incredible. Foti took the Rite, we understand a little 'how it works and then off to the hotel.
We get a bit 'late for dinner in the country, but this time as well eat well.
The movie can not make the beauty of the falls but it is a good memory:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D2I18F_H8s
DAY 20- NIAGARA-TRENTON 27/08/2009
|
After breakfast we go right to the falls for our ride on the Maid of the Myst V now in version and a commercial organization to fear (592 people every 15 minutes), but it absolutely made to fully enjoy the falls. |
Following picture with the statue of Tesla in the aerosol created by the waterfalls, and then a small lunch and then off the road, or rather the overcrowded highway in the direction of Montreal. We come to Trenton where we try to find a motel in the peninsula without much success, and then we end up in a modest motel in Trenton, on the other hand in finding a place to dine in Belleville end up in an Italian restaurant where we eat really well in a beautiful environment.
DAY 21- TRENTON-BROCKVILLE 28/08/2009
We wake up for work on the roof, we have breakfast from Tim Hortons, which here is more popular and frequent Starbuck. Then we decided to take a ride on the Prince Edward County and visit the park entrance to Sandbanks, which after all is rather disappointing in the fact that the beach that stretches over a boundless expanse of water is a lake.
Then we take the road to Kingston to arrive in the area of the island in 1000. Rock-Port choose to go up on our little cruise for an hour on the St. Lawrence between Canada and the United States. Surely one other adventure that must be done! Definitely beautiful. Then the games boundaries, islands and are well suited for rough waters of the Venetians. | Boldt Castle - 1000 Island |
We proceed then to Brockville to stop for the night in a Best Western. After a short tour we end up in a local home run by a couple of the Japanese "kozuka" very well where we eat both meat and Japanese in a family environment with beautiful music and treated as friends. These are the surprises that I like the travel program where you do not everything, especially when the choice is based on an intuition, an impression. Thank you for your nice dinner.
If you want to get an idea of what to expect from the 1000 islands can watch the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnfMxjCXOjc
DAY 22- BROCKVILLE-MONTREAL 29/08/2009
We wake up in the rain :-( The condition is not good, but we are positive because we have more than 300 km to go. So we focus on the park through the Mont Tremblant Montreal. Initially the weather improves but once you get rain. Let's around Tremblant, which is very pretty and reminds me 'a village in the Dolomites, but the rain and the weather of the day lead us to return to Montreal. We arrived around 16.30 and we place no success in 3-4 hotels then we end up in a motel after the district near the Olympic rangelier Metro stop, not great but expensive and not very comfortable, even if the outside looks like a motel by the hour.
DAY 23- MONTREAL 30/08/2009
|
We wake up with the cloud and the fact that rain is expected during the day we decide to leave the city. Come on Mont-Royal, where we find all the people who make sport and we enjoy a beautiful view. So going to come down in Jacques-Cartier snack for lunch where we move him to the Rue St. Paul for the last gifts, here we know a friendly Indian who speaks Italian, operates two stores and offer us tea and biscuits with syrup ' Maple certain that if we were shopkeepers so ;-)
We move on the Lachine canal after giving a look to the church of Notre-Dame. At the end of tired and the rain back to the Motel for a break before dinner. In the evening we decided to try the rue St. Paul Grill, where we eat well without spending much. We are looking for a pub to continue the evening without success, it would take a nose Maicol :-)
DAY 24- MONTREAL 31/08/2009
deer Parc Omega |
It 's the day of departure, but since it's sunny we decided to do the last mattana left the hotel and decide to go to Montebello Parc Omega. A wildlife park with a car route of 10 km where you see animals glia local semi natural state. The nice thing is that you sell the bags of carrots to be given to deer, wild boar and mountain goats, but not recommended to give the buffalo and bears :-)))). |
Unfortunately, times are very tight and we can not stop. In returning to the airport we take yet another ferry, a little 'looking for a bit' like the end of a beautiful country where the water is almost like a key for us.
We conclude by delivering the machine with 1687 km facts and get ready to jump back!
Want to see how Park Omega: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8-Z-win2h4
DAY 25- MONTREAL-VENICE 01/09/2009
The flight seemed short, will be the size of that in Australia? I have seen only 2 movies and a half. We make some small purchase before leaving for Amsterdam and from there to Venice. Claudio find when we arrived at 11.40. So I decide to head to work in the afternoon to stay awake. Once again the holiday is over ....
Cosa mi ha colpito del Canada:
-
The scale degrees
-
The lack of animals
-
The crisis
-
Affordable housing
-
The widespread multietinicità
-
The integration between peoples and cultures
-
The way to travel by bike
